Meet the Doctor

Meet Dr. Sung Eun (Susie) Kim

Why did you decide to become a prosthodontist?

Dr. Kim is a surgically trained prosthodontist, specializing in patients who need multiple restorations, implants, highly aesthetic dentistry, and dentures. Her interest in dentistry started when she was recommended for jaw surgery to correct her bite. She witnessed how powerfully oral health can transform a person’s overall well-being and self-esteem. She loves being a prosthodontist because they often serve as the “architect” for the patient’s overall smile. She is grateful that as a prosthodontist, she gets to do life-changing dentistry that allows her to connect deeply with people from all walks of life.

Where did you study dentistry?

After completing her undergraduate degree in chemistry at Bryn Mawr College, Dr. Kim earned her dental doctorate at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Her love for designing facially driven smiles led her to Harvard School of Dental Medicine where she trained another three years to specialize in prosthodontics. There, she served as the chief resident and obtained a Masters in Medical Sciences. She joined the American College of Prosthodontics (ACP) and is currently pursuing her board certification for prosthodontics. In addition to ACP, she is a member of both the NJ and NY Dental Association and Seattle Study Club and invests in key Continuing Education courses each year to stay current and innovative. She also teaches at the Englewood Hospital as their prosthodontic faculty.

Outside of the dental office, what do you like to do?

Dr. Kim loves spending time with her family and friends over good food and good conversations. She loves all cats & dogs but especially Mango, her orange tabby cat from LA. In her spare time, she loves working out, eating soupy noodles, and finding cute cafes to journal & read in.
